It is the most important town on the western side of the lake with a commercial centre that extends all along the coast of its gulf and has a rich cultural and historical tradition to offer the tourists who stay in its numerous hotels. From Saḷ you can go into the nearby mountains for walks and excursions. The production of citron drinks and syrups is a typical local tradition.
