The lake area delimited by Torbole-Malcesine-Limone is known as a real paradise of windsurfing among all surfing fans, which consider it one of the European capitals of this sport.

Very popular and crowded are also other places located more to the south, like "Campione" by Tremosine and "Prà de la Fam" by Tignale, especially when the northerly wind blows.

It's mostly in the northern part of the lake where important competitions and championships take place. In this area there are numerous clubs open to surfers only. This guide includes all the clubs authorized at the moment of our research.
In every place there are schools of windsurfing and surf-hires and you can find windsurfing facilities in almost every hotels We remind you that life jacket is compulsory, that some beaches are reserved to bathing and that surfers must pay great attention to ferries, which on landing routes and in ports have absolute right of way.
