Musei MUSEUMS, MUNICIPAL COLLECTIONS AND PERMANENT EXHIBITIONS

A tour around the lake to discover museums, municipal collections and permanent exhibitions. The collections, spread all over the area around Lake Garda, mainly concern two historical subjects: the prehistory and ancient Roman history, in particular the early Middle Ages, and the Risorgimento period during which many significant fights and battles took place in the inland around Lake Garda. A more recent addition are the newly created museums concerning the tangible civilization of fishing, oil and wine.

A careful collecting process has been carried out on the basis of the available material coming from the museums themselves and from various publications in order to provide a complete update. In this way we believe we have offered a thorough picture of what can be seen around the lake with useful information to plan the tours, both individual and in groups. Any inaccuracies or oversights are against our will. The opening times can be modified at any time, thus we strongly recommend calling the given numbers or the local tourist offices before starting the tour.
